Anthropologist Allen J. Christenson (2007: 303n879) translates the name "Caq Lacan" (as he writes in the body of the text, and Kaq' Lakan, as he puts it in the notes), the third generation of the Ajaw K'iche' lineage, as "Red/Fire Banner."
